Several rumours floating around the F1 news sites seam to suggest Heidfeld could soon be replaced at Renault.

According to an article on Yalla F1, which quotes German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, team owner Gerard Lopez spent some time in Brazil before the Canadian Grand Prix, with reports suggesting that the team is looking for extra investment.

This follows reports earlier this week that Roman Grosjean could be again racing for the Reanult team. However when asked about the situation with the Frenchman, Boullier told Eurosport:

“[To] leave him where he is. He has a roadmap to the completion of this season and he’s following it well”

“We will not repeat the same mistakes of his past by bringing him back too soon,”

Grosjean is currently racing in GP2 for the DAMS team and is currently leading the title race.

Ultimately It seems money will decide if Heindfeld keeps his seat with the Enstone based team
